Welcome!
As I’m starting to do some catering I figured a blog would be a good place to keep track of my recipes and experiences. Having no formal training in cooking, it’s all about experimenting and trial-and-error in my kitchen.
I started to get interested in cooking my senior year of college, when I had a kitchen in my apartment and no meal plan. As my sister reminded me, before that there was lots of bemoaning of the fact that I couldn’t cook/would never be able to cook. How far I’ve come. In the years since college, I’ve started reading more food blogs and creating folders full of delicious looking recipes that are on my ever expanding “to make” list. I also have binders full of recipes from magazines, not to mention my ever expanding Pinterest food boards. With so many options, my hardest question tends to be what do I want to make?
I hope you’ll stick with me as I try some new recipes, cater some functions and, in general, have fun in the kitchen and in life!
This is way cool, Lauren. I love so much of what you’ve made for SCL; I’m glad to know where the recipes are and to read about how you approached each one.
Thanks, Trish! I’m glad you’re enjoying them!
Little this is sooo impressive! Where are you living these days?? I may have some catering opportunities for you!
Thanks, Big! I’m back in Maryland, right outside of DC. I’m definitely open to discussing catering opportunities… 🙂
